On Friday, April 26 at approximately 7 pm, Bedford Fire Department along with Forest Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to the 4700 block of Roaring Run Road in Goode for an attached garage that was fully involved with fire threatening the house, vehicles, and surrounding woods.

The first units arriving at the scene found a garage with heavy fire showing. Crews began to attack the fire in the garage extinguishing the bulk of the fire quickly. Other crew members conducted a primary search of the residence. Chief 1 established command and Chief 5 established Safety. Command requested tankers from Big Island, Boonsboro, Huddleston, and Moneta to assist with water supply. Great team work and a group effort lead to an aggressive stop and keep the fire from further extension into the residence.
